Peek-a-boo Fawn In Creek

I was walk­ing through my parent’s creek pas­ture which is quite woody last spring. I seemed to step on every branch there was mak­ing a lot of really loud “Cracks”. I did not expect to see wildlife except, per­haps, for birds. Imag­ine my sur­prise when I found a doe and fawn stand­ing in the creek beneath me (the bank is 4–5 feet higher than the creek bed). The doe snorted and leaped away. The fawn looked at me in con­fused won­der for a moment, then also ran away.

Barred Owl In Woods — I con­sider this photo a gift from God. I had been out for a cou­ple of hours look­ing for pho­tographs and, while I found sev­eral nice ones, none got me really excited. As I drove home, how­ever, I saw this fel­low in the trees close to the road. I had looked to pho­to­graph an owl for a long time. Now God has given me this great gift! THANK YOU, GOD!
